S.O.E. (Son of Encouragement) is a UK hip-hop artist, dancer, creative, and entertainment executive whose journey in music spans over three decades. Emerging from the early 90s hip-hop scene as a dancer before stepping onto the mic, he went on to form the rap group Set Free, performing across the UK and internationally, and later releasing his solo album Chase The Dream. Known for a respected pen and thoughtful lyricism, his work continues to inspire and challenge, reflecting an enduring commitment to authenticity and substance.Alongside his artistic work, S.O.E. has spent much of his career developing and supporting others—mentoring young people across the UK and Europe through a wide range of initiatives and community projects, contributing to artist development, and continuing to offer creative guidance shaped by decades of experience in music and culture.His mission remains unchanged: “To inspire, challenge, honour God, and leave the listener hopeful.”
